Mahama Sends A Cryptic Message To Akufo-Addo On Independence Day

Legislative issues.

Previous President Mr John Dramani Mahama has lectured about harmony and the requirement for all Ghanaians to stay joined to propel the improvement of the country.

He rushed to add that for harmony and solidarity to win, it was intrinsic for standards like correspondence, opportunity and equity to serve as  main thrusts.

He said this in an autonomy day message coordinated to Ghanaians.

"We have just a single country, Ghana and we should cooperate to guarantee progress and development of our dear country. We can possibly do this on the off chance that we guarantee fairness, opportunity and equity for every one of our residents" he wrote to honor the occasion.

In the interim, Ghana High Commissioner to Canada Nii Ayikoi Otoo has said that Former President Mr John Dramani Mahama ought not fault his failure to give evidence of political decision anomalies during the political decision appeal on the Electoral Commission Chairperson.

As per the previous Attorney General, it will not be right and faulty for Mr Mahama and his NDC to say that their defeat  in court was because of the refusal of the director of the  EC to affirm in the request hearing at the high court.

Talking on TV3's Key Point show on  Saturday March 6, Mr Ayikoi Otoo said that Mr Mahama ought to comprehend that he essentially had an awful case.

He clarified that the weight of evidence was on the solicitor and not the respondents.

"No one should say the cases was excused in light of the fact that the EC seat didn't mount the crate," he said.

It is reviewed that  Mr Mahama on Thursday March 4, said that the Supreme Court and Counsel for the first Respondent in the just-finished political decision request hearing helped the Chair of the Electoral Commission (EC) Jean Mensa from bookkeeping to individuals of Ghana by sidestepping questioning.

"Ghanaians will likewise recall this 2021 Election Petition for that significant second when the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission selected to sidestep public examination.

"Everything was done in this preliminary to keep the Commission from bookkeeping to individuals in whose name they hold office.

"Solicitations for Interrogatories were excused. A solicitation to review records in the ownership of he Commission was turned down. The solicitation for confirmation of realities was disregarded.

"More terrible still, she was helped by her insight and the court to try not to disclose to the great individuals of Ghana from her own declaration, having sworn to tell the truth in an appropriately comprised official courtroom, the mistakes she, at the end of the day, concedes to have submitted in the statement of the 2020 Presidential political race results.

"This is an unmistakable cut in the core of straightforwardness and responsibility to the sovereign individuals of Ghana. Whatever the explanations behind not permitting Mrs. Jean Mensa to affirm or respond to any inquiries, it leaves a humiliating mess, on our equity conveyance framework as well as, on the country's discretionary framework, which has extended the grave questions held by numerous Ghanaians about the genuine result of the December 2020 Presidential Election.

"The witticism of Ghana's Electoral Commission is Transparency, Fairness and Integrity – standards the key entertainers plainly neglected to satisfy on this event. The refusal to record to Ghanaians, further, sets the stressing point of reference – and I do truly stress over this risky point of reference – that may permit different heads of state organizations to receive a methodology of murkiness and non-responsibility in their work.

"Since they can depend on unconvincing understandings of our laws to shield them from investigation sooner rather than later. I seek divine intervention that that time will refute me. There is a renowned legitimate adage brought into basic use by Lord Chief Justice Hewart in 1924, that 'Equity should not exclusively be done however ought to plainly and without a doubt seen to be finished',"vvv
